Purchasing Ares from the Eyarth Stud in Wales was a long time dream realized.  We have always loved the Eyarth breeding program.  Ares sire, Eyarth Celebration, is one of the most celebrated Section B stallions in the history of the breed.  His get have influenced the look and bloodlines of the Section B Welsh Riding Ponies.  Celebration was a many time winner in the ring.  Ares dam, Eyarth Athene, is a Royal Welsh Winner and is one of the Eyarth Stud's lovely broodmares.

Ares is a sweet charismatic stallion.  He is easy to handle in the barn and the breeding shed.  He settles his mares usually on the first cycle.  He has also been collected.  We have been very pleased with the quality of his foals.  His daughter Evans Poster Child proved to be a producer of quality with her first foal born this season Evans Little Flower.  Ares other get include:  Evans Game Of Thrones out of *Llanarth Queen Of Spain, Evans Mistral out of *Eyarth Holly, and Evans Dru out of *Kenwoods Princess Royal, and Evans Bella N Purple out of Rosmel Poetry N Motion.  

Ares would be the perfect stallion to base a breeding program on.  An asset to any Section B Welsh breeding program, he would also cross well on larger mares for medium to large ponies.  His foals have the athletic ability and tractable minds to make top hunter ponies and show ponies. 

Eyarth Celebration

Celebration's breeder, Jesse Parry has this to say, "Kelly was the first colt that we retained for our own use. He gave us our first win at the RWAS when, as a yearling, he was top of his class, reserve champion youngstock, and reserve male champion. Before that, as a foal, he was unbeaten wherever he was shown. Kelly’s most successful year in the show ring was 1987, when, on loan to Tom Best and David Blair of the Waxwing stud, he was overall native champion and reserve supreme champion at the West Midland Stallion Show, supreme at Glanusk and champion at Lampeter, champion at the Royal Highland and the National Pony Society as well as reserve champion at the Great Yorkshire Show. His influence on our bloodlines is beyond measuring, but he and his progeny have also influenced the Section B look in Holland, Sweden, Canada, Australia and the USA. We are incredibly grateful to him."
